Covered in class are teaching techniques that require approval and techniques that are never allowed by a paid professional. The student will not only learn about the rights of people with developmental disabilities but how to assist someone in expressing those rights. The class will also give the student tips on how to positively support someone when teaching a new skill. The student will learn about what a behavior plan is and why they are used. Ultimately, the learner will leave Article 9 class understanding that Article 9 in practice is about assisting another person in not only maintaining dignity but finding more of it.

The teacher was awesome he helped me understand the article way better than I expected. I had a few questions myself going in and then on top of that I was able to pass the class. Yes it’s a little long but if you pay attention and take a few notes and listen to the instructions and instructor you can pass.

Great course and very engaging. All the test was about was situations. might be nice to know the test is situational so focus on understanding how to apply in each scenerio. Used about none of my notes. Great class though!

This class is long, but the fact that Chris is such a huge advocate for people with disabilities, time flies by. It’s evident that he cares about the rights of individuals with differing abilities and wants their rights protected.
