Covered in class are teaching techniques that require approval and techniques that are never allowed by a paid professional. The student will not only learn about the rights of people with developmental disabilities but how to assist someone in expressing those rights. The class will also give the student tips on how to positively support someone when teaching a new skill. The student will learn about what a behavior plan is and why they are used. Ultimately, the learner will leave Article 9 class understanding that Article 9 in practice is about assisting another person in not only maintaining dignity but finding more of it.

This was a fun and easy class to take. Chris was super nice and informative. I am one of those overthinkers when taking the quiz and was worried I was not going to pass. Thankfully I did!

Class was taught online and Chris made us feel like we were in a relaxed environment. He stopped and answered questions; we had about what he was teaching us at the time and broke down every section of the class. He made sure we didn't spend a lot of time on one thing and prepared us for the test and if there were any issues that might happen while or after taking it.
