Covered in class are teaching techniques that require approval and techniques that are never allowed by a paid professional. The student will not only learn about the rights of people with developmental disabilities but how to assist someone in expressing those rights. The class will also give the student tips on how to positively support someone when teaching a new skill. The student will learn about what a behavior plan is and why they are used. Ultimately, the learner will leave Article 9 class understanding that Article 9 in practice is about assisting another person in not only maintaining dignity but finding more of it.

I took this class a few years ago, and this was by far the best class I have taken for Article 9. I got way more information and statistics this go round than I did before. And he properly prepared the class for the quiz at the end, if you were paying attention and taking notes.
