Covered in class are teaching techniques that require approval and techniques that are never allowed by a paid professional. The student will not only learn about the rights of people with developmental disabilities but how to assist someone in expressing those rights. The class will also give the student tips on how to positively support someone when teaching a new skill. The student will learn about what a behavior plan is and why they are used. Ultimately, the learner will leave Article 9 class understanding that Article 9 in practice is about assisting another person in not only maintaining dignity but finding more of it.

I took this class a few years ago, and this was by far the best class I have taken for Article 9. I got way more information and statistics this go round than I did before. And he properly prepared the class for the quiz at the end, if you were paying attention and taking notes.

Chris is excellent! I’ve done 3 trainings since moving to AZ and worked with children for 40 years as a provider of OT. Yet Imstill learn something new each class. For me, as an adult learner, I need audio, visual, videos, real life examples to process this information. Chris provides that. Thank you!

Chris presented the class in a way for everyone to clearly understand. He would give examples and ask if there were anything that students didn’t understand to make sure they understood before he’d move on. Not ever taking this course myself, Chris made feel better when it came to the test. He’s a great teacher!

Chris is awesome! He's very personable and caring. He makes sure that you understand the history, the strategies and foundation of this class. I have truly enjoyed this class taught by C.G. He was thorough, proficient, and kept us engaged.
