Covered in class are teaching techniques that require approval and techniques that are never allowed by a paid professional. The student will not only learn about the rights of people with developmental disabilities but how to assist someone in expressing those rights. The class will also give the student tips on how to positively support someone when teaching a new skill. The student will learn about what a behavior plan is and why they are used. Ultimately, the learner will leave Article 9 class understanding that Article 9 in practice is about assisting another person in not only maintaining dignity but finding more of it.

Would have been nice to have the Article 9 rules ahead of the class, so as to follow along and make notes.
Also since I didn't pass, it would have been nice to know what I missed.

I just wanted to say he really broke everything down to the point that I was not worried about taking the test because he teaches in a digestible way, and everything makes sense and connects. He is an outstanding educator, and I passed with 100% on my first try.

Too much information to obtain and be able to give back in such a short length of time to test. My suggestion is that documentation should be emailed before this class is given to the individual ahead of time for their review, so that they are in the right frame of mind before they have to sit in front of a computer for 3 hours. By the time the test is given I am drained and now my brain is full of so much stuff, not sure where to start,
