Covered in class are teaching techniques that require approval and techniques that are never allowed by a paid professional. The student will not only learn about the rights of people with developmental disabilities but how to assist someone in expressing those rights. The class will also give the student tips on how to positively support someone when teaching a new skill. The student will learn about what a behavior plan is and why they are used. Ultimately, the learner will leave Article 9 class understanding that Article 9 in practice is about assisting another person in not only maintaining dignity but finding more of it.

Chris is a very informative instructor and is helpful throughout the course. Only issue I had was during the test. I believe I missed two questions (90%), but once you submit the test it does not tell you what questions you got wrong. I understand if you fail because you have to retake the test, but if you pass you should be given the correct answer(s). Just my 2 cents. Thanks!
