Covered in class are teaching techniques that require approval and techniques that are never allowed by a paid professional. The student will not only learn about the rights of people with developmental disabilities but how to assist someone in expressing those rights. The class will also give the student tips on how to positively support someone when teaching a new skill. The student will learn about what a behavior plan is and why they are used. Ultimately, the learner will leave Article 9 class understanding that Article 9 in practice is about assisting another person in not only maintaining dignity but finding more of it.

This was my first time using Google meet. I had issues with the camera. However, I learned a lot. This is my first time being exposed to Article 9 information. I liked all the personal anecdotes from the instructor (Heidi). It was a lot of information in a short period of time. Really enjoyed it.

I have attended several of this instructor's classes, and she has always made lectures informative, engaging, and has covered any course material that has been presented on tests.
